Reports to: Lieutenant or Captain
The ability to effectively interact with the general public, DoD personnel and all ranks of military, civilians and visitors. This position is under the direct supervision of the site Captain for assigned shift of the security department and is responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, personnel, customers and all visitors.
Be able to read and understand the English language to effectively carry out applied printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials. Have a command of both the written and spoken English language to properly and clearly communicate in person or via electronic devices (telephone and radio) with co-workers and the general public.The ability to maintain a professional, tactful and courteous demeanor under stressful situations security personnel routinely encounter. Be able to compose in the English language precise short paragraphs, written reports, and other reports as necessary.

Performs security patrols.

Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations.

May perform other related duties as assigned by a security Lieutenant and/or security Project Manager.
This position has No supervisory responsibilities.
This job operates in a professional Federal government oriented environment. The environment is such where customer service skills and professionalism are of the utmost importance. Environment and duty related policies and procedures are subject to change based upon company and client requirements. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen and physically touch at times.

Must be able to articulate events, clearly and concisely in written form.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a Full-Time position with variable and rotating or fixed shifts of anywhere between 8 and 12 hours.
The position will require availability on nights, weekends and holidays.
Applicant must be aware and understand that they may be subject to alternative scheduling as applicable as job duties demand.
No travel is expected for this position.
Preferred Education and Experience
- ?Valid State Issued Driver’s license
Security and/or law enforcement experience
Current First Aid/CPR/ AED Certification through the American Red Cross
Current Monadnock Baton Certification
Contractor’s Certification of Basic Training
Contract’s Certification of Initial Weapons Training
Weapons Detection Training Program X-RAY Initial Training
